Neal leads Indigo’s Corporate Development team, which has been instrumental in building out and scaling new businesses and organizational capabilities. Under Neal’s leadership, the team played a central role in the launch of Indigo Marketplace, Indigo Research Partners, Indigo Transport, and more.  In addition, Neal has led fundraising activities since 2015, resulting in Indigo raising over $700mm in capital. Neal was Indigo’s 15th employee.

Previously, Neal was a Vice President in Citi’s Global Healthcare Investment Banking practice, and helped start up the West Coast practice, raising over $4bn in equity and debt capital for biotechnology clients. His experiences as a consulting engagement manager at Optiant, a Boston-based, Battery Ventures backed software start-up, resulted in over $200mm in working capital savings for F500 healthcare and consumer clients. This was driven by Optiant’s multi-echelon inventory optimization and supply chain network design technology, developed at M.I.T. At DaVita Healthcare Partners’ Neal led the Strategic Finance function for DaVita Rx, a specialty pharmacy operation with over $500mm in revenues. He was responsible for implementing their 5-year long-range financial planning process.

Neal has an M.B.A with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Carnegie Mellon University David Tepper School of Business, where he was a Swartz Fellow, as well as a B.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

"After spending my career advising companies through investment banking and consulting, I joined Indigo to build something from the ground up, and be on a team that could make a significant, positive impact on the world."
