OUR IMPACT

At Indigo, we’re data, soil, agronomy, and water scientists. Policy wonks and decarbonization strategists. Farmers. We leverage cutting-edge science and technology to create solutions that benefit both farmers and the environment.

Doing Our Part, Just Like Our Partners

We hold ourselves to the same high standard we ask of our farmers and partners. We’re growing our handprint: supporting climate-friendly practices at scale through our commercial activities. At the same time, we’re cutting our footprint: reducing the impact of our own operations.

What Guides Us

Our impact commitments keep us focused on what matters most: people, the planet, and the future of farming.
Our impact strategy isn’t a checklist — it’s how we stay focused on what truly matters

By the Numbers

At Indigo, credibility starts with accountability. We track, measure, and work to improve not only our own environmental footprint but also the broader sustainability outcomes across the agricultural system. From reducing emissions and saving water to increasing farmer revenues and advancing regenerative practices on millions of acres, the positive change we help enable far exceeds the impact of our operations.

Carbon outcomes include results up through our third carbon crop (RP4), which runs through the end of the 2023 crop year. Verification was completed in early 2025. Other outcomes, such as Source impact metrics (e.g., water savings), reflect data through the end of the 2024 crop year, as available at the time of reporting. Earnings are cumulative across multiple reporting periods and sources, which is why it is presented as a general figure. Earnings in Carbon correspond to the RP total earnings, including any promotions/incentives, but does not include any vesting scheduling. Earnings related to RP4 are not fully realized at the time of this publication. Our Impact website will be updated periodically with the latest available metrics.

Taking Responsibility for Our Footprint

We’ve conducted our own greenhouse gas footprint for five years to quantify the sources of our emissions and identify hotspots across our organization. Each year, we review our largest emission categories and champion high-impact projects to reduce them.
