Lauren Moores comes to Indigo as a self-described “digital data geek” with a passion for transforming data into products, insightful analytics, and relevant stories.  She has over 25 years in interdisciplinary fields, from data and technology strategy to science and data creation.

Lauren's past executive roles have focused on the creation of big data platform solutions, competitive intelligence products, and emerging data usage.  Most recently, she ran data analytics and data strategy at Tala, a global fintech startup that transforms mobile behavioral and transactional data to provide financial identities to the underserved in emerging economies.

Prior to Tala, Lauren served as VP of Strategy for Dstillery, a cross-device digital intelligence platform, as well as Chief Science Officer for EveryScreen Media, a mobile RTB and audience technology company acquired by Dstillery. Before her time at EveryScreen, Lauren managed the science, data assets, and data engineering teams at WPP's Kantar Compete, building large, global, multi-sourced digital consumer research panels and consumer analytics.

In addition to her business leadership background, Lauren has significant board experience, currently serving on the data advisory board for the USA for UNHCR—a non-profit that supports the UN Refugee Agency—and the data science board for I-COM, a global organization focused on smart data marketing.  Lauren holds multiple patents in audience measurement and metadata creation. She also advises entrepreneurs and start-ups on data and data technology, helping past clients such as Similar Web, Unbound Concepts, JumpShell, and Tap Dog to optimize their data technology.

Lauren obtained her PhD in Economics from Brown University. She speaks and writes extensively on innovation through mobile data, technology and analytics, and has taught at Brown, NYU, UCLA, and other universities.

“Data and technology are at the core of Indigo’s quest to transform agriculture to meet our future global food demand. I jumped at the chance to join Indigo given the opportunity to work on solving an important world problem with the added bonus of playing with and transforming all different types of data."
