Frequently Asked Questions

As asked by growers, carriers, and shippers like you

What is Indigo Transport? How does it work?

Indigo Transport is an ag logistics platform connecting a network of carriers to growers and shippers.

For Growers

Indigo Transport offers hassle-free grain delivery service for growers enrolled in Indigo Marketplace. Growers can choose to have Indigo Transport pick up and deliver their grain for all Marketplace bids. Simply select bids with the Indigo Transport icon and let Indigo handle the logistics. The Marketplace bid price includes the cost of freight, so the price you see is the price you get. Learn more about Indigo Transport for growers here.

For Carriers

Indigo Transport is a new platform for carriers to quickly and easily find and confirm loads. Indigo Transport sources exclusive loads from Indigo Marketplace, an online grain transaction platform connecting thousands of growers and grain buyers across the country. Those loads, along with others sourced from Indigo Transport’s third-party partners, are uploaded to our digital platform, and accessible on your smartphone through our mobile app.

To get started, log in to our mobile app or give our Carrier Desk a call at (901) 701-1130 to find and instantly book loads, all of which have upfront pricing based on destination, trip distance, and season. Once you book and confirm a load, we’ll send you all the details you’ll need for successful delivery. Once you complete delivery, just send us a snapshot of your proof of delivery and we’ll pay you within 10 business days.

Indigo Transport is a full-service logistics provider for shippers looking to quickly and easily source delivery of dry bulk commodity freight. Indigo Transport has built a network of thousands of local, reliable carriers vetted for safety, federal compliance, and proper insurance coverage. Each carrier has access to a mobile app that enables them to quickly and easily find and book loads based on their preferences. When you tender a load to Indigo Transport, you’ll be matched to a pre-approved carrier who will have all the details needed for a successful pick-up and delivery. What type of carriers do you work with? What is your vetting process for carriers?

Our carriers are locally-based, independent trucking businesses. Each one of our carriers is evaluated for safety, sufficient insurance coverage, and are subject to food safety transportation policies. We employ third-party service providers to vet and monitor every one of our carriers on an ongoing basis.

How does the Indigo Transport mobile app for carriers work? Where can carriers download the app?

The Indigo Transport app is free and available to download for iOS and Android devices. The app lists all available loads that you can book right from your smartphone. Once the load is booked, you’ll receive instant confirmation that the loads are yours.

What type of freight is Indigo Transport currently moving?

Indigo Transport is currently moving corn, soybeans, wheat, rice, and other non-grain, dry bulk commodity freight that can be transported via hoppers. We are expanding our freight options, so stay tuned for future updates.

Can growers hire Indigo Transport to deliver grain or other types of freight outside of Indigo Marketplace?

Yes, just give us a call at (901) 701-1130 or email us at and tell us about the loads you’re looking to ship.
