About This Role

Indigo Ag is seeking a Sr. Associate to join the Corporate Development team and help drive the next wave of strategic, financial, and commercial innovation across the Company. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, innovation, finance, and execution—supporting some of the company’s most important initiatives, from M&A and investor relations to go-to-market design and new business incubation.

Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Development, you’ll work closely with senior leaders across Indigo to evaluate new opportunities, structure high-impact projects, and execute against the company’s long-term vision. In this role, you’ll engage directly with a wide range of stakeholders—from board members and investors to farmers and customers—gaining exposure to every layer of a mission-driven business.

This is a high-visibility, high-growth role for someone who wants to help build the future of sustainable agriculture while learning fast and stretching across disciplines. You’ll join a small, entrepreneurial team that’s energized by solving hard problems, learning quickly, and making meaningful impact. We work across Indigo to help the company move quickly and thoughtfully on the things that matter most.

This role is a hybrid position. Candidates must live within commutable distance from our Boston office, and be able to come into the office 2 days per week. 

 

What You'll Do

  • Execute on a range of strategic initiatives, from M&A and partnership development to go-to-market strategy and new business launches.

  • Build financial models and business cases to evaluate new opportunities, assess investment or partnership decisions, and guide resource allocation.

  • Support fundraising and investor engagement by helping craft board materials, investor presentations, and financing documents.

  • Conduct research and analysis on markets, customers, competitors, and industry trends to inform decision-making.

  • Collaborate with leaders across Indigo’s Biologicals and Sustainability Solutions business units, as well as Finance, Legal, Product, and Science teams.

  • Help drive special projects that push the business forward from long-term planning to commercial offer innovation.

  • Bring structure and momentum to ambiguous, high-priority problems where there’s no playbook, just a big opportunity.

What You'll Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or strategic finance roles

  • Strong financial modeling and problem-solving skills

  • A clear, thoughtful communication style and skillset in developing concise, impactful presentations to customers and senior leaders or in writing more detailed briefs

  • Curiosity, initiative, and a proactive nature; Taking action before you’re told what to do.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well with people from different backgrounds whether it’s a farmer, a board member, or staff scientist

  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments; Enjoys figuring things out and making progress in the gray areas.

  • Align with Indigo’s mission: to support farmers, improve the land, and build a more sustainable agricultural system

How We'll Take Care of You

  • Base salary of $100,000-$125,000 annually

  • Equity options & annual cash incentives

  • Generous paid time off, including Flexible Time Off, 5 sick days, and 12 annual company holidays as well as one week between Christmas and New Year’s for a company-wide annual break, parental leave, and bereavement leave.

Pay Transparency Statement

Indigo is committed to competitive and equitable pay for all employees. The listed pay range for this role is a good faith estimate of the hiring range for this position. Compensation offered will be determined based on several factors including an individual’s experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

Benefits Statement

All regular, full-time, permanent employees who work 30 hours or more each week are eligible to enroll in Indigo’s benefits. Additionally, all full-time employees and some parttime employees are eligible for paid time off as outlined above. Based on their role, employees may also be eligible to receive long-term equity incentives and annual cash incentives.
