Indigo is seeking a strategic and operational HR and Recruiting Manager, LATAM, to support our growth in the region. This leader will drive initiatives in recruitment, culture development, and HR processes while ensuring compliance with Brazilian labor laws. Reporting to our U.S.-based Chief People Officer and dotted-line reporting to the Head of LATAM, the HR Manager will partner with the local management team to align HR practices with business goals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing, Recruitment and Selection (40%):- Create strategies to attract talent in LATAM, enhancing the employer brand.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, from talent attraction to onboarding, ensuring alignment with company values and established SLAs.
- Implement data-driven recruitment strategies to ensure efficient hiring processes and a strong talent pipeline.
Talent Management & Culture (30%):
- Develop and implement LATAM-specific initiatives to strengthen the company's culture, ensuring alignment with organizational values and goals.
- Partner closely with the corporate (US-based) HR team to implement company-wide HR initiatives such as the bi-annual employee survey, annual talent review, performance reviews, etc.
- Support managers in developing and monitoring career and succession plans.
- Leverage data insights to measure the effectiveness of culture initiatives and refine strategies accordingly.
- Partner with business leaders to promote effective people management practices.
HR Operations (30%):
- Oversee the timely onboarding and offboarding of employees, adhering to corporate protocols.
- Ensure all employee data is accurate and appropriately maintained in Indigo’s HRIS.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure payroll accuracy and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage strategic HR-related vendors and partners.
- Regularly review and update HR policies to reflect changes in Brazilian labor laws and company objectives.
- In partnership with Legal, ensure compliance with local legislation and market best practices.
- Ensure all LATAM-specific policies are current and appropriately communicated to employees; serve as a focal point to assist and guide employees on HR policies and practices.
Requirements:
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
- Experience partnering with senior-level leaders in support of talent management and development.
- Experience working in a matrixed reporting model ensuring both functional/corporate compliance and local/administrative alignment with the business need.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, human resources, psychology or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience working in Human Resources for a multi-national company. Preference for experience in in the agriculture industry.
- 3+ years’ experience recruiting.
- Knowledge of Brazilian labor laws.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
- Familiarity with metrics-driven HR decision-making.
Bonus Points for:
- Advanced Spanish language skills.
- Experience working across multiple LATAM countries.
- Familiarity with DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) initiatives.
Reporting:
This position reports directly to Indigo’s U.S.-based Chief People Officer and will dotted line to the Head of LATAM, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The HR and Recruiting Manager may oversee a contractor and/or intern for project-based work.
Location:
This role requires at least three days per week in-office at our São Paulo location, with flexibility for remote work on other days.
