Jody applies seven years of ag industry experience to his role at Indigo, overseeing grain transactions as the General Manager of Marketplace.
Along with another five years of professional work navigating markets and supporting the adoption of innovative new products for General Electric, Lifetime Brands, and Ceridian, his career has included architecting efficient supply chains, developing strategic partnerships, and representing consumer needs.
During his tenure at Cargill, Jody occupied several positions within a variety of departments and at different levels of the organization, from General Manager, North American Oils to Director, Corporate Responsibility and Corporate Affairs. Responsibilities in these roles included navigating competitive and predictable pricing models and commercializing customer-focused solutions for positive financial and environmental outcomes. Sustainability was a fundamental aspect of his work during this time, as well as strengthening the company’s brand while improving sales. Leading a business relationship with McDonalds to enable the fast-food giants execution of their clean label aspirations was a notable achievement.
Jody is certified in the innovative management philosophy known as Lean Six Sigma, which prioritizes the reduction of defects and the elimination of waste in order to deliver the maximum value and service levels to customers. This accompanies his many other accolades, including a Chairman’s Award for Customer Focus and an Achievers Circle Award from Cargill, recognizing R&D contributions that create distinctive value. Jody is a graduate of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University, where he received his MBA and BBA in marketing specialization.
Jody lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Jessica, their daughter, Ella, and their dog, Potter.
