As Global Head of Marketplace, Amit Menipaz leads Indigo’s efforts to increase the profitability of growers, shippers, and carriers by leveraging technology to optimize the use of their assets across existing and new markets, locally and around the world.

Amit joins Indigo with decades of experience designing and enhancing digital marketplaces and building platforms that facilitate global trade. Prior to joining Indigo, Amit led several of eBay’s strategic initiatives most recently as Vice President and General Manager, Vertical Experiences and Platform. In the position, Amit leveraged big data, machine learning, and computer vision to build platforms and tools that maximized the company’s understanding of its global community and inventory. He further applied his expertise building and scaling systems to provide sellers with highly customized guidance and to equip buyers with personalized results.

Previously, as a Board member of GS1, a global trade industry association, Amit drove fundamental changes to existing standards to support the organization’s mission in the digital age. Amit also worked as a consultant at Deloitte in North America and A.T. Kearney across Europe, led an investment and venture office in Israel and China, and co-founded an internet training and web development company in Canada.

Amit received a B.S. in industrial engineering from the University of Toronto in Canada and an MBA from INSEAD in France. He is also a co-author of a textbook on international business and holds several patents in the area of marketplaces, digital commerce, and competitive pricing.
