With decades of experience leading digital transformations in ecommerce and telecommunications by designing common digital platforms, standards, big data services and digital tools at scale unlocking operational efficiencies and enabling new business models, Amit drives Indigo’s efforts to become the ag industry’s independent trusted technology partner of choice.
As CPO, Amit oversees Indigo’s product strategy and roadmap to ensure a unified, intuitive experience across Indigo’s digital product portfolio for a range of ecosystem partners including farmers, agribusiness, and CPG companies. Most recently, he served as Global Head of Market+, where he led the development of Indigo’s keystone offer to realize new economic and environmental value across the supply chain through digital enablement.
Prior to joining Indigo, Amit led several of eBay’s strategic initiatives as Vice President and General Manager, Vertical Experiences and Platform. He also served as a Board member of GS1, worked as a consultant at Deloitte and A.T. Kearney, led an investment venture office, and co-founded an internet training and web development company.
Amit received a B.S. in industrial engineering from the University of Toronto in Canada and an MBA from INSEAD in France. He holds several patents in the area of marketplaces, digital commerce, and competitive pricing algorithms. He has also guest lectured about the Future of Commerce or Product Strategy and Digital Innovation at Stanford, Berkeley and NYU Stern School of Business.
